This week: Space Exploration
Hello Champions. Yes, we are heading out into space. But, before we do, we have to recap on the Sun-Earth-Moon system. Some of you are having a hard time understanding the seasons and the phases of the moon. If you check out the blog, you will see that I have posted several diagrams of the seasons and the moon phases. These are also located in your Sciencesaurus.
New week, we are heading to the Imax to see "Desolation Moon 3-D" and "Spacestation 3-D.

Tides
Hello champions. This week we will be looking at Tides and Eclipses. Why do you think tides are important? Are the tides the same all over the world? Can tides be harnessed for energy? Yes, all the questions will be discussed this week. See if you can find out the answers to these questions on your own. If you come in to class with the correct answer, you will get to raffle tickets for Team Time.
Friday was the second Ski club date. The conditions were "ok", but skiing with "Champions" was absolutely awesome. See if you can recognize these future Olympic skiers

moon phases
Hi Champions. Here are some great pictures of the moon. We are going to be looking at the phases of the moon. As you can see, The moon appears to be illuminated differently depending on where it is as it goes around the earth. We will also be doing a gizmo at http://www.explorelearning.com/ that explains the moon phases.
